We use the healthkit because we have created the drops app to work alongside and in addition to our sanitizing units. The purpose of the app is to encourage users to stay healthy not only physically but hygienically too. Via the app users are able to track their step count and daily distance covered by syncing with their HealthKit, the resulting data is displayed in an easily accessibly central location on the Drops app. By using the Healthkit data, we are able to offer users very accurate data to help them meet their daily activity goals. Users are also able to keep track of how often they sanitize their hands helping keep them and others stay safe while traveling.
